Harriette McKinnon Crump Memorial Scholarship

Harriette McKinnon Crump was the rare kind of individual one seldom finds in a lifetime. Her untiring efforts enabled NC CORD to grow and develop to a level where success for all overshadows glory for a few. Harriette began her career in resource development at Halifax Community College and also worked at the College of The Albemarle until her untimely death in 1982.

Her loss left a void for all who knew and loved her. CORD has established an endowment for the Harriette McKinnon Crump Memorial Scholarship in her honor. Funds generated from this endowment will be used to provide scholarship monies to NC CORD members.

To be considered for this scholarship award, current members should send a request letter to info@nccord.org including:

  • Current and related former positions
  • Length of service in resource development
  • Why this training is important to you
  • How this training will enhance your abilities

Funds generated from this endowment will be used to provide scholarship support for NC CORD members pursuing industry-focused professional development (ex. registration for the NC CORD annual conference, CASE conference, ADRP conference, etc.)
